Spinneret Block
Here's the block itself. I designed it in EQ7 as a 12 inch block, simply drawing the lines of the piecing on the Easy Draw worktable. I like to have the blocks I design connect to an adjoining block and by giving this one "open arms", it connects very well from block to block providing lots of movement and design possibilities.
Fun block - I did some cut and paste in Word to see what it would look like - great kaleidoscope effect!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea - it has endless possibilities.
DeleteThis is a fun and clever block. You could use so many bright-colored fabrics. Just gorgeous. Thank you so much for being a part of QM 100 Blocks, Volume 7 and sharing another block with us. Also, thank you for the chance to win a copy of this awesome magazine and those chubby fat quarters that you are going to use to make this block.

ReplyDeletereally fun fabrics! I love paper piecing and the secondary designs.
ReplyDeleteSetting blocks next to each other can sometimes give a very interesting secondary design --- I can see that this is true with your block. I'd also like to try it with an "on point" set.
